Transportation
All
sessions of the conference will be held near the Infrastructure
Technology Institute located at Northwestern University
in Evanston, Illinois. The campus, which stretches along
Lake Michigan north of Chicago, provides a scenic backdrop
for a fall conference. Participants can fly into either
O'Hare International (This airport is closer to the Evanston
campus) or Midway airports.
Cab
fare from O'Hare to campus is about $35; from Midway to
campus, $40-$50. NorShore
cabs is a suburban cab company that you can call to
pick you up (it takes around 10 minutes for them to get
there) once you pick up your baggage. These cabs are a
little cheaper than the city cabs that are already waiting
at the airport ($25.00).
Public
transportation to campus on the "L" (Chicago's
subway system) is available from both locations.
There
is also an airport
express shuttle which is available from O'Hare to
Evanston for $34.00 round-trip.
