Each University Transportation Center names a Student of the Year.

In 1999 the Infrastructure Technology Institute was proud to name Damian Siebert as its Student of the Year.  Damian worked on ITI-supported research with Prof. Charles Dowding while earning his Master's in Civil Engineering with a major in Geotechnical Engineering.

In addition to a cash prize, Damian had his expenses paid to the Transportation Research Board meeting in Washington, DC, in January 2000, where he received his award from US Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary Mort Downey.
