Dan Hogan is a Research Engineer with the Institute. He has over twenty-five years of experience in welding research and building prototype models. He works to design and construct systems to nondestructively monitor the condition of infrastructure facilities. An expert on welding and machine shop work, he assists Northwestern faculty and graduate students in various research activities. Dan is the staff advisor and student soul mate for the annual American Society of Civil Engineers student steel bridge competition.
